Zinedine Zidane s next target should be to target domestic dominance to go with Real Madrid s exemplary record in the Champions League, says Michel Salgado.
Madrid are gunning for a third title in four seasons in Europe s premier competition after beating city rivals Atletico Madrid 4-2 on aggregate in their semi-final tie.
If Los Blancos can defeat Juventus in the final they will become the first team in the Champions League-era to successfully defend the title.
Madrid are also in a great position to win LaLiga, but know only three victories from their remaining three matches will be enough to claim a first league title since 2012.
And Salgado, who won four LaLiga titles and two Champions League medals during a 10-year period at Madrid, believes his fo…
Manchester City midfielder Yaya Toure, Borussia Dortmund striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Swansea City forward Andre Ayew have been named on the final three-man shortlist for the Confederation of African Football s 2015 Player of the Year award.
Toure captained Ivory Coast to Africa Cup of Nations Glory in January and is in the running to collect the continental gong for a record fifth consecutive year but he faces stiff competition from Gabon s Aubameyang, who has been in sparkling form for Dortmund this term.
Aubameyang came second in the voting behind Toure last year and has scored 26 times in 25 appearances across all competitions for the Bundesliga club so far in this campaign.
Ghana s Ayew joined Swansea on a free transfer from Marseille in June and ha…

Tottenham versus Manchester City. Jose Mourinho against Pep Guardiola. The Premier League champions, title hopes hanging by the most threadbare of all threads, facing the Champions League finalists chasing a route into next season s tournament.

The Dutch frontman made a stunning impact as a substitute, scoring a late double to force a 2-2 draw and take the match to extra time.
He almost overshadowed Messi, whose penalty had put Argentina two goals clear, and afterwards it emerged Weghorst and Messi clashed following the Copa America champions victory on penalties.
Prior to a post-match TV interview with TyC Sports, Messi said to somebody out of camera shot: What are you looking at, fool?
That bystander has been identified by the broadcaster as having been Weghorst.

Roberto Mancini said Italy were guilty of creating their own problems as they scraped past Finland 2-1 in Euro 2020 qualifying on Sunday.
Ciro Immobile s first international goal in two years gave them a 59th-minute lead but they were pegged back by Teemu Pukki s penalty 18 minutes from time.
Jorginho secured a sixth win from six Group J games after 79 minutes, though, slotting home another spot-kick.
While happy to come through a game on the road with another three points, head coach Mancini said his side need to retain possession better.
There was a little bit of suffering, but we created it ourselves, he told Rai Sport. We were dominating the game and gave away the ball cheaply. The team did very well overall, although we had a few scares when it wa…
